Public Receipts is made up of
- income from taxes
- government borrowing
- issue of new currency
- other revenue
- commercial revenue from goods & services supplied by the public sector
- revenue from administrative activities (e.g. fees, rates)
- gifts/grants from foreign countries or organisations.
The Government gained significant Public revenue through state-owned institutions before Conservative privatisation programs under Thatcher.
